Lilly Love {Spring 2013}

I've been out of love with Lilly for a while. Since they changed owners, things weren't quite the same. Having said that, I LOVE the new spring collection and there are a few pieces I really can't wait to get my hands on. There are a lot of great patterns reminiscent of their older stuff, a good selection of new dress silhouettes (one cannot survive on the shift dress alone!), and possibly the most surprising...a TON of really KILLER accessories that match everything.

My favorite piece hands down is the Freja dress. I've long complained about how high the necklines on all the Lilly dresses are...they make busty girls look top heavy. I am SO HAPPY they are now offering a selection of not up-to-the-neck dresses. This print is just terrific too.

I don't need to tell you again how much I love when things match. I have a bunch of Kate Spade knockoff bow belts I purchased on eBay some time ago in a dozen colors. They work, but I am glad I have a better quality alternative in the Bow Tie belt. The color is spot on and they seem better constructed from the photos online. Now I just need to decide what color to get-- pink, green or white? Decisions, decisions...

I went through a phase about six years ago where I would only wear pointy toe flats. I must have had seven pairs. Some of my coworkers would tease me about it. At that time I was doing producing and call screening at the radio station and I would always get comments from the talent coming out of the studios about my "deadly weapon" shows. Too funny. At some point I changed to Jack Rogers and those pointy toe flats rarely come out anymore. Seeing these new Kat Kitten heels brought back my love for pointy toes...and with a BOW! Of course the colors are what get me most. Blue, green and tan? I would love to get tan and green. They go with everything! At $200, I'll be waiting for these babies to go on sale before I commit. SO CUTE though.

This Posey dress is another winner. I just love the shape of it and the pattern is great. YAY for lower necklines and fuller skirts! Love this so much.

Lastly, the Nia sweater really caught my eye with its cute peter pan collar with lace. It seems a lot more like a tee shirt than a sweater to me, but I'll have to see it in person to decide. I just wish it came in more colors-- I love white but this would be great in a light pink and green as well. So charming.

There you have it! So much great stuff this go-around.
Did anything from the new collection catch your eye as well?

Just sent your link to my girls. #1 bought those shorts last year. They looked adorable on her.

Oh Muffy, I agree about the top heavy look! I, too, like several items for spring. My concern is how the hemlines keep getting shorter. I'm 5'9 and am concerned about being mid-thigh.

So funny because I was a little out of love for a while too. They seem to be getting back on track?

You picked out some of my favorites, the belt in particular and kitten heels, how cute are those two pieces?! Like others I am concerned about hemlines though, they're getting a little silly, at least for conservative old me.

Sending you a smile,
