What RESOLVE!

How are those resolutions going for you? I'm happy to report as we enter our third week of the new year that my resolutions are still intact as well! My main resolution was to put some effort into getting ready for work and I must say, it hasn't been THAT hard to bring out the dresses and heels and I feel better when I look better.

What's been a little harder is finding time to do my hair and makeup. I'm getting a haircut soon, but in the meantime it's SO LONG and takes forever to flatiron or curl. If it takes longer than 10 minutes I lose interest and want to do a sock bun. I can proudly say I have only pulled the sock bun trick out twice and have managed to style my hair the rest of the time. Not bad.

I will admit my bar studio membership ended and I haven't signed back up since I know we have two upcoming vacations that will take us out of town but I have started my lunchtime walks again, which have been great. It's a lovely way to break up the work day, get some sunshine and fresh air and get a quick workout in too.

Another new year, new us update: we bought new bedding! Super excited about it. It's not your typical pattern or colors but we just love it.

Isn't it fab? Of course it hasn't looked like the picture above once. On any given morning our bed is more likely to look like this:

We need to pick up a fourth king size pillow and second euro to complete the scene, but we're big fans of the set as it is and have enjoyed using it. The pattern is sort of busy with an Indian flavor, we're super fond of it.

I would be lying if I didn't tell you the truth: I totally only bought this set for this amazing ginger jar pillow. Its amazing and wonderful and I love it.

Our old bedding was from our wedding registry and I must admit there is something so "Holy-Cow-I'm-Really-An-Adult" about going out and buying bedding with your spouse. It was a lot of fun too and you know I loved the fact it was all on sale for half off. We also picked up some 800 thread count sheets at half price that have straight up changed our life. Yes, I'm just bragging at this point. They are so thick and soft it is ridiculous. My advice to you? Head to a white sale and buy the highest thread count sheets you can afford. Your skin will thank you for it.

Ok, I was honest. It's your turn now:
How are those resolutions holding up?

Nothing better than a beautiful, comfy bed to sleep in every night. I didn't make any resolutions this year or the last. The little voice in my head keeps me in check, but I don't always listen to it. LoL

I love that bedding! It's gorgeous.

Good to hear your resolutions are going pretty well. (That's always encouraging to see people stick to their guns.) Mine are going just super- I've been riding my horses more, running regularly, and eating more meals at home.

Yay resolutions!

I really want new bedding!!!!!!! We are still using our wedding registry bedding, and I'm ready for that first "update" - we've been in our house for a few years and it's time for a few tweaks!

I've been trying to dress nicer for work. With short hair, mine is always done, but... you know what I mean. The dressing nicer? It really makes a difference.

Have a wonderful week!
