Cooking with Muffy: Honey Garlic Chicken

Hello! Well, I've mentioned a few times now how much I've been on Pinterest lately, pinning everything from party planning ideas to recipes to craft projects to...you get the idea. It's been a great chance for me to add some new meals to our weekly menus and break from routine.

Yesterday Skipp and I sat down and built our weekly meal plan and I pulled my recipe board up to find something new and came across my "Crock Pot Honey Garlic Chicken" pin. We had everything we needed and gave it a try..and it was VERY good!

The recipe came from Rachel's Nest and is a keeper.

Crock Pot Honey Garlic Chicken:

1 package of boneless, skinless chicken breasts
3 garlic cloves chopped (we used 5)
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup honey
Pinch of basil
Salt and pepper to taste

Photo from Rachel's Nest blog:

Put everything in the slow cooker on low for 4-6 hours. I also try to make a reduction out of the sauce but it didn't reduce that much and we used it anyhow. DELISH.

Could this be a more terrible photo? I took this with my phone...if I'd known how good this would be I would have taken a better picture.

We enjoyed the chicken with asparagus and will be making it again.

What have you been pinning lately?

Hey there Miss Muffy! Are your recipes WW friendly? I think on Twitter you mentioned you were doing it.
