Hello and welcome to Lent 2012!
For the next 40 days (46 really, but let's not split hairs), I've decided to 'give up' Muffy Martini as well as my sister addiction, Twitter. It won't be easy, I love blogging and having a 24/7 conversation with you all on twitter but I really wanted to give up something important to me and this blog is!
Blogging at its nature is a selfish activity-- it's all about ME. Look at me, read what I think, see what I like, etc etc, and so I think it is the perfect sacrifice during Lent so that I may think less about myself and more about Jesus and the TRUE and very REAL sacrifices he made for each of us.
I'll miss sharing my life with you, no doubt. This blog is a great creative outlet for me and brings me much joy. I wish every one of you a blessed Lenten season and I'll see you again on Easter!

I am so proud of you for choosing something so 'addicting'. It is incredibly appropriate to choose something that will be difficult to give up as it will encourage you to think of Jesus's sacrifices for you, just as you say. That is wonderful.
