
The recipe today is Macaroni and Cheese. I pulled this image off the internet, since I did not take a photo of the end result. I will mention it wasn't as creamy as the one pictured-- it was more baked.
This was a quick, easy and delicious recipe. The first day I served it as an appetizer with chicken and the next day I cut up rotisserie chicken into it and added lots of steamed broccoli and the side dish became a meal. Since this recipe worked so well, next time I will experiment with different cheeses. Perhaps gruyere or gouda will star on the next go around!

Slow Cooker Mac 'n Cheese:
Ingredients
6 cups macaroni, cooked
2 tablespoons butter
4 cups evaporated milk
6 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Directions
1.Toss macaroni with butter. Add remaining ingredients. Add to slow cooker.
2.Cover; cook on High 2-3 hours.

This is a regular item at covered dish meals and family reunions here in the south! There is always a crock pot of baked macaroni and cheese. So good!
Sounds yummy! I think I'll make this for Superbowl Sunday!
